so, Kashka & I moved into our new apartment yesterday. and Kashka is obsessed with climbing into the lower kitchen cabinets, closing the door, and then hopping into the next one through a small gap at the top of the cabinet wall. she’s driving me absolutely nutty with this (and it’s been less than 24 hours).
anything I can get to put on the (old beat up wood) cupboard doors to get her to ignore them? especially considering that I had been planning on putting cleaning products in the center ones (under the sink). I don’t want it to keep her out of the kitchen entirely though, since that’s where her food & water are (on the opposite wall).

Um, rubber bands around the knobs to keep her out? Or get some child proofing stuff? I have to put bungee cords on my folding closet doors, as Chaos can open them.
Where did you end up moving?
I don’t think rubber bands will keep out a determined cat, and they can easily be chewed through. I would look into the stuff used to keep kids out. Target should have a good selection.
Child proofing latches will probably work. but they are a pain for grown-ups too. They slowed down my boys by about 10 mins. But I think the cat would be less dexterous. ;)
I don’t know what the handles look like but rubber bands would do the trick if they’re knobs. My first husband actually nailed a cupboard shut in our first apartment because it wouldn’t stay closed. That was BEFORE we were married… That should’ve been my first hint…lol
