I need to pick which color of contrasting toes I want to use so I can figure out when I’ll need to start doing gusset increases.
our choices:

the black will be used for the ribbing if necessary, the two greens in the center are your choices, and the green/black on the right is the main sock.
so, which green would look better with the sock? the not so bright one (on the left) or the bright one (on the right)? or should I run back to NU and see if they have a ‘taste of koigu’ in a green that matches better?
here’s the partially obscured in-progress shot from the other day if that helps decision making:

I think the one you call “bright” (on the right) matches the better.
I think the black would be best for the toes, too! The other greens don’t look like they really match…
Given the opportunity, I’d probably use black for toes, but think the left skein matches best of the two. However, you certainly can’t go wrong heading over to NU just to check out what they have.
I vote for the middle one (darker).
I think that the one on the left blends nicer with the main sock yarn.
I vote for the green on the left…the more green-green, less blue-green.
Given your parameters for choices, I vote for the green on the left…the more green-green yarn. But the Charcoal Gray/Black is really my preference.
