anyone ever lose one of those remote/key combinations for their car? any locksmith recommendations for possibly getting my key replaced? I’m waiting for the dealer to call me, the bus’ lost & found to call back, and will search the sidewalk on my way home, but in the meantime I’m going nuts!
(thankfully, I can walk from home to the bus stop so I’m not completely stranded or anything. I just can’t concentrate on work AT ALL.)
I think you need to go do your dealer. Most keys now have a chip in them that a locksmith can’t replace.
How frustrating! Yeah, I think it’s a dealer only thing…
And it’s cold and snowy out! Hope you get it replaced soon!
Dealer. My daughter tossed me my keys and broke the remote. For my foreign car, over 100$ to replace. Hope yours is cheaper. That is what sucks about newer cars but hopefully the air bags make up for it.
