I loved this yarn! and the pattern was pretty fun too. I think I finally had it memorized after turning the first heel. (I got pretty good at reading the knitting too, so I could tell when I was messing up).
Here’s a shot of my picot edge (first time I’ve tried it):

and here’s the inside where I sewed it down:

and here’s a modeled shot:

they fit rather nicely (though maybe a wee bit on the tight side - which is a good thing as her feet are shorter than mine). if I were to make them again, I think I’d want the leg to be longer.
also, my picot edge flares/falls down a bit… any tips for the future?

I think they look great! Um, I’m about to tack down my first picot edge (#5 from the same page!), so I really don’t have any tips to offer!
To reduce a flare on your picot and to snug it up a bit, you can switch to a smaller needle 1 row before the picot row (the yo, k2tog row) and continue on that smaller size for the remainder. If you’re working form the top down you just CO with the smaller and use it through the first plain row after the picot and then switch to the main needle size.
HTH!
Run a bit of elastic through the casing? Match the color as well as you are able. (I used to have some special knitters’ elastic that came in colors and cost way more than the basic stuff from the sewing store.)
Great socks! No suggestions for the picot, though. I’ve had the same problem the few times I’ve tried it.
I haven’t tried that yet, but I think they look great!
Awesome Picot Edge…looks great with that pattern…much better than the ribbing would’ve. :-) I think Kristi’s idea makes good sense…next time (and when I do it I’ll) switch needles to the next size down. Love the color!
