oh, the drama of these socks. They were started for Socktopia - I forget if I was starting a January pair late or a February pair early. then they went on hiatus due to itchiness from the glitz strand and I contemplated not making socks with them. then a few months later something posessed me to just finish them already, and so here they are.
beautious, no? I love how the black diagonal pooling across the foot mirrored itself. no way I could have planned that.
since this is the first pair of socks for myself that I’ve finished, I’ve learned a few things. like 64 sts in a DK weight yarn is a good cast on number. and cuffs should be knit on 3’s (they’re a bit loose). and something needs to be done to tighten up the heel area (not sure if it’s a length problem or a circumference problem). I still need to sort out how to prevent the little ‘ears’ at the toes when kitchenering. but overall I’m happy with them. now, if it weren’t so danged hot so I could wear them….

Love that diagonal pooling!
All your new FOs look great! Love the blue color of these socks too. : )
Oh, I REALLY love how they turned out - the mirrored diagonals are too cool.
They are lovely - that pooling looks fantastic!
I love the socks! I am still working on yours….
